Welcome to the URC West Midlands website

Hello. Welcome to the web site of the West Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church. We are part of a family of Reformed Christians worldwide (Presbyterian and Congregational largely) who are 90 million strong –though we are a small church in England, Scotland and Wales. We are aware that the old forms of church do not seem to speak to people as once they did. Yet we are convinced that in the critical work of Christ there is real hope, a serious celebration of life and a light to challenge the dark places and habits of living. So we with fellow Christians, and people of other faiths and good will, still seek to make a difference for Christ’s sake and show the grounding of people in God’s love. Our Synod’s churches have a great deal going on in them and for their communities. They did this before the Big Society was launched, they will try to play their part in it as they can and they will continue to act for their communities after such language has faded from the scene.
